The Green Bay Packers may have a familiar face on the practice field in the near future.

According to the NFL Network, the Packers plan to work out quarterback Matt Flynn, who was drafted by the team in 2008 and spent four years in Green Bay.

The Packers are in search of a quarterback with starter Aaron Rodgers expected to miss four weeks with a fractured collarbone.

In 2011, Flynn started one game for the Packers and set franchise records in passing yards in a game (480) and passing touchdowns in a game with six.

He then signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent in 2012 before being traded to the Oakland Raiders prior to this season.

The Raiders cut Flynn after he struggled in two appearances in relief of injured quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who earned the starter's job in the preseason.

Flynn was signed by the Buffalo Bills on October 14 but was cut on Monday, when starter EJ Manuel was cleared to return to action.

Flynn has a career record of 1-3, with ten touchdowns and six interceptions.
