Edmonton Oilers prospect Oscar Klefbom is scheduled to undergo season-ending surgery on his injured left shoulder.

Klefbom suffered the injury last month while playing for Farjestads BK of the Swedish Elite League.

The Swedish defenceman met with the staff of the Oilers this week before the decision to undergo surgery was made.

Klefbom was drafted 19th overall by the Oilers in 2011.
